RNG or live
An RNG table deals by software and can run hundreds of rounds an hour, so the same edge costs more per hour of play. A live table streams a real dealer and runs at a fraction of that pace, which suits a small budget, but its minimum stakes are higher.
Live tables need a stable connection. On mobile data, a dropped stream in the middle of a hand usually completes the round automatically under the table's rules; read them before you play. Our new live casinos page covers live play in more detail.
Limits and stakes
- Set a session budget and a loss limit before you sit down, and a win goal at which you stop.
- Keep each bet to 1 to 2% of the session budget.
- Ignore progressive systems such as Martingale; they raise the stake after losses until the table limit stops them.
Table etiquette in live games
Live chat is moderated. Be polite to the dealer and other players, and do not ask the dealer for advice on your bets; they are not allowed to give it.
